Rossi misses penalty
Giuseppe Rossi fired the ball over the bar from 12 yards as Villarreal drew 0-0 with Valladolid. Rossi took the penalty as Joseba Llorente was brought down inside the area, but he lost his nerve and cost his team vital points in securing a Champions League spot for next year.
Inaki Bea of Valladolid was sent of for the foul and Villareal were up against 10 men for the remaining 25 minutes of the match. Although they continuted to mount pressure, they just couldn’t find a breakthrough.
Rossi is getting better and better as he gets older. He has enough confidence to recover from missing the penalty.
